Okay. Finished the 2nd one. This was a strange one and it didn't feel over when it ended. These books are a nice light read and fun. I'm headed to Nascar today with Phil. Seriously. I will take pictures. It is bound to be some good people watching.
Wow. The books sound addictive. I haven't gotten my paws on them yet, but I will. I just finished "Look Me In the Eye" for work and it was good. I did not love it, but it was interesting and definitely useful as higher educaiton has seen many more students who fit into this category. Anyway, enjoy Nascar. Miss--I am thinking about you guys. :)
I LOVED the second book. Warning though, the third is a bit heavy in the beginning but action packed in the end. Just so you know, they have cast the actors for the movies. Chad and I have already watched one of "Katniss'" movies. Burning Plain is the movie - one of them. It was good but depressing. The girl that will play Katniss has a lead and is pretty good. Definitely a good casting there. Once you are done with the books you should check it out. She was also in another one we have yet to watch - Cold Bone, I think? They come out in March of next year - can't wait.
What do you mean "Katniss" movies? Is it a movie about that character? Winter's Bone? I think that movie was nominated for some awards. I haven't seen it. Yes. NASCAR. Seriously. It was very loud and I didn't anticipate the wind and debris blowing in my face. The people watching was second to none. I would go again. The race itself kind of bored me. I get bored watching it on tv too, but it is that much harder to follow when you are watching it live. I guess it is karma that now I am with Phil and stuck going to and watching NASCAR. lol
What I meant about "Katniss" movies is that they are coming out with Hunger Games movies and they have already cast the actress to play Katniss and the Burning Plain movie is a movie starring the actress that will play Katniss' character. If you want to see her acting. We were curious so we watched it. Haven't seen Winter's Bone yet though. Plan to. I don't agree with the casting for Peeta and Gale, I think that they should be switched per my vision of each while reading the books. And they cast Rue as a little black girl and I didn't imagine her that way. Racist I guess (just kidding, but I didn't imagine anyone as anything other than white). I pictured Rue as someone like that girl in Harry Potter that saw the Snargles (don't remember her name?) pale and blonde and frail looking. Don't know why.
So, Karma...I suppose you're right...most likely what it is :) The things you'll do for love, right? Has he worn you in the adult-sized infant carrier thing yet? I think not only did you win the bet, you now have endured NASCAR, he better follow through. Lol.
I'll bet you pictured Rue like that because Katniss says she reminds her of her sister Prim. I pictured her looking almost the exact same as I pictured Prim. No adult sized front loading baby carrier. Seriously. I won that. He SO owes me. I beat him again this year.
